Expedition & Training Team

Scott Gilmour

Scott has been an integral part of numerous expeditions, delving into some of the most frigid corners of the planet. His expeditionary CV includes what is believed to be the swiftest completion of the last 2-degrees to the Geographic North Pole, as a member of a 5-man team, accomplished in a mere 8 days and 6 hours. Additionally, he holds the distinction of two record-breaking traverses of Siberia's Lake Baikal, alongside a winter expedition following the Kungsleden, among various other tours in the Scandinavian Arctic and Norway.

He has spent many years guiding & providing expedition training services in Northern Sweden, notably in the Northern section of the Kungsleden between Nikkaluokta and Abisko. Having completed the Kungsleden (2017) in winter on skis, he has excellent knowledge of the route and its unique challenges.

Recently, Scott has been immersing himself in the frosty landscapes of Norway's northernmost region, Finnmark, where in 2022 he spent 6 weeks guiding & familiarising himself with the Finnmarksvidda, before venturing into the rugged terrain of Saltfjellet National Park in search of fresh adventures.

In 2011, Scott forged a new path in endurance sports by conceiving the Spine® Race (and no, it wasn’t down the pub), an event that has since burgeoned into one of the foremost challenges of human endurance worldwide. While he has since divested his involvement in the race, his imprint on the outdoor industry endures, a testament to his lasting legacy and impact.
